Pros

Rockefeller is a fantastic university with great benefits and one of the best academic cultures I've ever experienced.

Cons

There are issues with every academic job (particularly with low pay) and each experience will be heavily dependent upon which lab you join.

Pros

HR is wonderful, excellent health insurance. A great place to learn and gain insight into whether or not grad school is the right path for you.

Cons

Your experience will depend a lot on your lab/supervisor, not necessarily a con but possible. 2 years until the university contributes 6% of your salary to retirement. No raises, COL do not keep up with inflation
