Pros

Great benefits, smart community, great core facilities, nice housing close to the beautiful campus. Cool faculty club bar that serves free beer 3x a week. Experience will vary widely depending on your PI, but the university itself contributes positively to the experience.

Cons

Collaboration is low between labs. Postdocs don't get paid a ton. Work life balance is more of a "work life blend".
