- Employee development not consistent/homogenous - some "young guns" are handed the keys via hand-picked development opportunities, others are simply thrown in the "deep end" and left to sink or swim - "Nano-management" style seems to have taken over, making some aspects of the engineering work a "drag"; the company wants things to be done faster and faster, yet management keeps putting more "hoops to jump through" into our path

The "bean counters" as they are called middle managers are nothing short of pothetic, the majority being technically shallow. They are "yes" people to the director and the VP as some of them are "high potential", what a joke. The job posting and selection is a very suspicious process, as some positions get filled before being advertised. There is no need to be surprised here, it is the dominant culture. The word "ethics" evidently has more than one meaning, because middle managment seem to be above the law doing what ethically is wrong. HR is also missing, and when it is around, it adds to the bureaucracy to the point you get fed up and just become passive, then try to leave at any cost.
