Pros

The pros seem to be that this is a large company that could have position possibilities nationwide. That is an early impression, and have not had the chance to "test" that theory.

Cons

1) The job "interview" was not typical. A Senior Manager, not directly associated with the Project, called and grilled me for 30 minutes and then we negotiated compensation. First impression was they wanted me before they spoke to me, and called as a formality and to discuss compensation. This interview was very casual and seemed rushed. 2) Employee On-Boarding is absolutely laughable. The employees are sent to the job site and are forced to fend for themselves. If it were not for a select few of mindful employees, new folks would be absolutely lost. 3) Most likely this is project specific, but the Leadership "team" are very familiar with each other and are very closed off to any personnel additions to the "team". Seemingly their preference is to do things, the way they have always done it, and not listening to new ideas, that could be potentially beneficial. I am not sure if they are aware of their dismissive behaviors, or if it is intentional out of professional and personal insecurities. Either way, it is difficult for new employees to obtain or maintain high levels of morale. 4) The initial impression of this "team" is: Cold and Closed. They are not open to new people or ideas. For the profession that I do, I would tell people to avoid this company.

Politics Abound

Pros

I believe Rosendin Electric was and could be a great place to work; however, like all companies that grow there will be pains. The benefits package is adequate and the salaries seem to be competitive. The company is growing so there is a potential for transfer and advancement within the company.

Cons

The on-boarding and employee help programs are minimal to non-existent. The communication of expectations is lacking but the politics are thick. Everyone seems to be fighting for some "slice of the pie" but not working together to achieve a common goal. Amid the weekly power struggles, it's difficult to complete a task successfully.
