Pros

Some teams have great project manager who are kind, professional, and pleasant to work with. There are really great people on certain teams who do not share the same value as the majority of the team

Cons

The senior project managers/high ups perpetuate toxic working environment. If you do not fit into their team by being a older white male, you simply do not stand a chance of given the opportunity to grow or even respected in team environment. There is a lot of yelling, cussing, toxic working culture that comes from the top down. Senior PM for large projects are not fit to lead due to lack of communication, endless blaming mentality, and contribute to unprofessional stressful working culture for the rest of the team. Working here feels like a game of self defense. To summarize, the vibes are just off. There are also incompetent people who are being kept on the team because they have worked here for years or nepotism. There are so many HR red flags that are kept under wraps because the managers don't care and HR isnt involved.

There are more levels of middle management who are not involved in day-to-day functions of projects than there are people involved in the actual management of projects. These individuals have no clear purpose outside of holding daily internal meetings with each other to "determine better ways for the project management teams to increase profits" but really they are just regurgitating information that the PM teams provide to them up a seemingly never ending chain of command, and yet no clear path to increasing profit margins is ever given to project management teams by these groups of individuals they simply instruct them to do so.
