Pros

ESOP, flexible scheduling, benefits and that's it.

Cons

- NEPOTISM: This is my absolute biggest issue. It's so glaringly and embarrassingly obvious whether you've been there 10 years or 10 months. If you're not a close friend or family of the management, good luck moving up or getting promoted or recognized. The management acts as a 'clique' like they're in the movie Mean Girls and trust me, you certainly cannot sit with them. - Wage Inequalities: There's a sore amount of difference in pay, specifically between individuals doing the same job, and favoritism in who gets a raise and how fast. - Communication: There is a lack of clear communication between leads, the field, and the support modelers. Prepare to have things be your fault despite following instructions given to you by people who are 10 years your senior. Also, prepare for them to apologize for blaming you once they realize they were in the wrong and then just do it all over again next week. - Remote Work?: Despite being a job that is fully sustainable remotely, it's like twisting a knife, trying to qualify for it; even during a worldwide pandemic. - Insufficient Training: My personal experience consisted of being thrown from my initial position, directly into a modeler position despite not having any true experience. I was never properly trained to model, but learned through trial, error and occasional feedback. The most extensive training they provide are the LinkedIn learning videos. Any time an issue with training is brought up, you're redirected there.

Pros

You find nice co-workers out of every-other Jack and Jill who despise their job. Ability to work on big projects and help be a part of something bigger. Cutting-edge technology focused on Revit. 8 hour days without much overtime. Decent pay. Decent PTO.

Cons

I experienced managerial abuse. Gaslighting, manipulation, and avoidance are common tactics used by management to avoid fixing core problems within the company. Either so little work you're bored to tears or picking up the slack for everyone else. Rosendin runs on nepotism. Expect to not be made "full-time" (permanent) until almost 1-2 years in the company despite working on 6 months contracts. You must chase down management to even begin talking about receiving benefits. That guy who joined 6 months after you and is Bobby Joe's son with less experience? He's a direct hire, sorry. Here's another 6 months extension though, we appreciate you! Speaking of experience, do you want to learn how to be a top-tier modeler within this trade? Great! We'll start you off on detailing for maybe one... two... three.. four... five years or so? We promise next project you'll get to learn some of the most basic functions of your role! So what if you don't know standards and the company doesn't work on gathering material other than LinkedIn to train you? Oh well! Next project. We PROMISE. No clear work-from-home plans despite it being over two years since the pandemic happened. Everyone remote runs on a "we'll let you know" basis on returning to the office. Many desktops are old and slow. People stay here for the ESOP and are very open about it. Projects suck to work on a lot of the time, managers are cliquey, and you'll eventually dread clocking into work each day. Very few benefits mask how soul-sucking much of the work is.
