Pros

Rover is such a great place to work! The values attracted me to apply and they are part of the reason why I'm so happy to be here. The other parts are the people I work with, how our leadership uses our values to make decisions, my ability to make an impact, and that we are improving people's lives! Not to mention we are growing and have some exciting years ahead!

Cons

Managers and above have to come into the office two days a week

Pros

I worked at Rover as a Marketing Manager, and while the company has a great mission and product, my experience was frustrating and stressful. Upon returning from maternity leave, I found myself overwhelmed with a significant workload, limited support, and unrealistic expectations. There was a lack of proper training, and I felt that leadership didn’t provide adequate guidance to help me succeed in my role. The communication with my manager was often one-sided and focused on pointing out errors, which left me feeling unsupported and undervalued.

Cons

The pressure to deliver high-stakes work while training without room for mistakes was constant, and it became clear that my well-being was secondary to company demands. Despite my dedication and efforts, I never felt like I was able to catch up or receive the recognition for my hard work. This left me feeling discouraged and ultimately questioning my long-term future with the company. While Rover has potential and a strong brand, my time there was marked by burnout, lack of mentorship, and high expectations with little support. I wouldn’t recommend working here, especially if you’re seeking a healthy work-life balance.
