Pros

Rover has been an amazing opportunity to be part of something greater then one's self. As an individual who likes to join companies and make a big impact - it is very humbling to see that many others at Rover strive to do the same thing. As a result of hard work, partnership, cross-functional interaction and most importantly peer-level accountability Rover is on course to be one of the best places I may ever work. One of the common threads that impresses me the most is the prevalence of technical expertise when it comes to SQL, data mining and data visualization at all levels within the organization. It is more common then not that an individual you are working with in the company has the analytical know-how to query data by writing SQL from scratch. Data is important in every decision being made. But equally important - a narrative is required as well. Management emphasizes the need to have a narrative to support the data being presented. One without the other is incomplete.

Pros

*I am surrounded by some of the smartest people I have ever met - not only are they smart, but they are also awesome humans as well *I am challenged daily and learn something new daily *The culture here has an undercurrent of magic - we are all in this to big things to make our bigger dreams come true - the magic happens everyday when we all come in and do great work with a common goal. *Our core values are alive and well and that is really impressive - these are usually the first to get lost when a company starts to grow. *Our leaders lead with transparency and vulnerability - a nice change of pace from the otherwise typical veil on culture and company growth

Cons

*As with all start ups that experience hyper growth, sure, there are some things that could run more smoothly. But this is part of working at a start up!
