Rover has a very welcoming and accepting culture that enables me to be bring my best self to work. The people are extremely friendly and share a common bond around the company mission.

Cons

Not crazy about the commute, but my team has flexible work from home practices.

Pros

I've been incredibly impressed with both the business acumen, as well as the friendliness of the people I work with. At Rover they really live their values (they are part of conversations I have every day, not just on a web site or poster). At the same time folks at Rover are very focus on building and growing a successful, sustainable business. I get to work with nice, smart and hard-working people (a tough combination to find!) across a variety of functions. Oh, and bonus is dogs in the office - just lightens the mood and keeps things fun and friendly!

Cons

The company is relatively 'lean' -smartly so I believe. I've worked at several of the larger, 'richer' tech companies, and Rover doesn't have all the perks and benefits some of the other big tech companies have. They are still in scrappy start-up mode and I expect they'll remain very cost conscious (appropriately so) for some time. If you are used to working for a richer company and care a lot about the various perks that come with that, this might be a bit of an adjustment/seen as a con.

Pros

Great benefits from stock options to snacks in the kitchen. Amazing team of people.

Cons

Not a lot of upward mobility, a lot of lateral movement.
