      Pros

      The leadership is very fair and reasonable. If you are self-motivated and you are looking to move up this Rural looks to promote from within when possible. The claims positions all work remotely which increases our family time and decreases your time on the road.

      Cons

      It's a smaller company so although they do look to promote from within when it possible they may not have as many opportunities as larger companies.

      My experience at Rural Mutual Insurance has been amazing. Everyone is treated with respect and value, and management encourages and supports all of it's employees. The culture is one of being supportive to work together for the benefit of all.

      Cons

      I have not experienced any negatives in my many years working here.

      If I have a question about a ticket or a process. I'm not made to feel bad or have my question questioned. I am pointed in the correct direction or informed who I need to contact to get the answer I need. Also I'm not required to go past my scheduled sh

      Like other places, sometimes it's necessary to stay longer to resolve an issue or there's an emergency and you have to come into the office. Not necessarily a bad thing though.
