      Good hours, but not enough pay

      Pros

      Like the hours and location since it is really close to where I live.

      Cons

      Everything else from inventory to management. I love how RC expects us to hit all of these quotas but we don't have the supplies to do so! I get it, the more the store sells more inventory we will get... However try explaining that to a customer who has to wait 2 days to get a phone because we never have it in stock when they can hop over to a corporate store and it's available for them. Also I love how they say to call HR and report problems.. Yeah we can do that, but does HR even get the messages or answer the freaking phone?! I appreciate the experience this place has given me, but I will be leaving this company and not recommending it to anyone.

      Hours are decent given the environment.

      Cons

      Asked to do an awful lot with only baseline wages. You're not going to get the best quality rep for that wage for very long, and with the cost of hiring/training, so what gives?!? Multiple, cold "follow up" calls to the same customer pool is borderline harrassment. Seems like HQ is always finding ways to "adjust commissions". EX: They will take re-stock fees out of your paycheck unannounced if they are wavied for a customer, no matter the situation.

      Dear Former Employee, Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate the time you worked for Russell Cellular. We implemented a new compensation program that allows an employee to receive up to 2 wage reviews a year. During 2014, RC made the commission system simpler. An "all-in" total sales target qualifies a team member for a monthly commission accelerator. In addition, tablet sales count towards the total sales target and accelerators. The Solution Center was put in place to assist employees and to answer calls regarding customers. Any questions regarding price adjustments should be directed to the Solution Center.
