Not the worst, not the best

Pros

Easy to love/sell the product. A moderate level of autonomy in managing the unit. Upper management is easy to communicate with, and fairly responsive. When my time with this company was over, they were trying to create a positive company culture, but not having much success.

Cons

A lot of work expected with very little time to accomplish it. Many of the systems are extremely out of date (pricing, inventory, pos systems) with no plan to update. The schedule can be gruelling due to the holiday-centric nature of the business. Entry level employee retention is poor due to low pay and heavy work load, making it difficult to use vacation time.

Pros

Chocolate tastings every few weeks.

Cons

If you need medication for *any* long-term condition (any monthly medication), the prices are outrageous. Their health insurance is only "good" if you never need medicine aside from an occasional antibiotic, etc. I want anyone who is debating accepting a position there to know this so that they aren't shocked by their increased medicine costs like I was.
