Breath of Fresh Air in the Staffing World

Pros

I came from two previous bad experiences within Staffing. My first experience was with a very large company that was very churn and burn. People were numbers, not people. In the year and a half I was there, our entire office of 4 turned over from management down. I then went to a very small company with an extremely oppressive owner who expected his employees to have no personal life. If for whatever reason the daily goals were not met, you were expected to stay in the office until 9pm when it was no longer okay to call people, and I was once 10 mins late due to being rear ended, and was still reprimanded. Anyway, RTA is nothing like that. Work/Life balance is always respected, the bumps in the road every recruiter hits regularly are seen as understandable realities of the staffing industry, and you'll find yourself on a first name friendly basis with upper everyone up to the CEO within a week. Unlike most staffing companies, RTA makes you want to succeed not just for the paycheck, but for the people you work with. In my previous jobs I felt my only incentive was my commission and to not get reprimanded. At RTA, I genuinely enjoy the group feeling of success, and I never fear unfair treatment. I've been here for about 6 months and love it so far. On top of the atmosphere, the perks such as the great Midtown location, the Friday Happy Hours, and constant other fun events like the boat trips and sporadic holiday parties. If you're sick of the Robert Half's, Maxim's and Michael Page's of the world that treat employees and clients as nothing more than a means to an end, give RTA a shot.

Cons

Only con I can think of is that there isn't a terribly clear outline of billing expectations, but again, that goes with more of the laid back environment that I wasn't used to.

Pros

The upper management has been amazing. Coming from a non-recruiting background, I have already learned so much and management has invested their time and energy in teaching us to be the best we can be. In the short time I've been with RTA, I have already been afforded so much growth. I feel valued, something I was lacking at my past job. I am so looking forward to what the future at RTA holds for me.

Cons

Don't have any yet and don't think I will.
