Pretty nice

Pros

The university culture is somewhat more relaxed than in the industry. Obviously, one's situation depends greatly on what department you are with. The benefits include access to resources such as the university library, recreational sports facilities, etc. Employees have access to a 457(b) retirement plan, which is a nice supplement to the usual 403(b) (which is a non-profit counterpart to the industry 401(k))

Cons

1) It's in New Jersey... 2) No matter how flexible and understanding your immediate management may be, there are also various university rules and polices, which sometimes help and sometimes hurt.

Pros

Working environment is very relaxed and is surrounded by friendly people. Everyone gets their work done with the exception of a few but work is very easy. Staff and supervisors are all nice and willing to help each other and guests out.

Cons

Minimum wage was given with no yearly raises. Training sometimes seemed like a waste of time and were only stipend.
