Pros
Decent salary considering minimal workload and low pressure environment. Pleasant co-workers. Good vacation, benefits (especially tuition remission), and athletic facilities. Flexible hours.
Cons
No one gets fired and no one gets promotions/raises so there exists a rampant pass-the-buck culture where there is no incentive to do good work. Ambitious, smart people see this and move on, which leaves an underclass of Lotus Eaters - inefficient, apathetic people who have worked there forever.
