Not a great place to work

Pros

1. Expert in its field 2. Flexible working environment 3. Decent pay 4. Decent benefits package 5. Lucrative bonus structure 6. Ryan Pride - employee reward program

Cons

1. Management non-existence. Management does not know what is going on in the office and never attempts to build team spirit. Teams are disorganised. 2. Poor communication. Important news does not come from the official source but from the coffee corner. Instead, non-important news are communicated frequently. 3. Lack of vision. Ambitious to grow but huge cost control measures in place do not do the trick. No one clearly knows what the company strategies are. 4. Ryan is not attracting the best talent. The good ones have left and most of them are not being replaced due to a hiring freeze. The ones left behind are contemplating of leaving. The ones that are eventually hired are not as good as the ones left. 5. Bonus structure does not work entirely. Everyone is protecting their own interests and trying to pounce on every single opportunity to get more bonus, instead of putting customers first and helping the company to grow. Too much politics. 6. All support teams are poor. IT could not implement new applications/systems and blocks all zip files because they do not know how to cope with potential virus/malware issues. Finance keeps on messing up with invoice payments with invoices being months overdue. HR takes 3-4 months to hire a new/replacement personnel eventhough the candidate has already accepted the position. 7. Company is concentrating too much on how they are perceived in the media and within the industry. Pointless local awards, cherry-picked high client satisfaction scores and community outreach programs are cherished more than the employees. 8. Grim current working environment due to all of the above.

Pros

Ryan provides great opportunities to grow and advance. I was offered many opportunities to advance early in my career. The work life balance is great. MyRyan is great and allows you to work more efficiently. I believe Ryan is moving in the right direction as a company and the people that I work with everyday are great. If you are looking for a company that offers work similar to big four firms for a higher salary, larger bonuses, and advancement opportunities, Ryan is a great fit. Come work with us!

Cons

The hours can be long and intensive, however MyRyan makes the adjustment easier. It will take a year or two to start seeing bonuses, however once they start coming in it seems they come in every pay period after that!
