Ryder System, Inc. This is the epitome of an organization where the only button on their control panel says “Self Destruct”. During the past 20+ years they have inundated themselves with inept employees at middle and upper-level management positions who have neither people nor leadership skills. The business is run like a child day care center where the focus is strictly on today, without regard to its’ non-existent one, three or five year plan. Imagine that; why plan for the future unless you realize you do not have one. Management has made Ryder completely insignificant in a marketplace founder Jim Ryder created. Ryder over the past six years has twice as many negative sales months as positive ones. There is zero customer focus at the top which constantly adds to the run-away list of ‘former customers’.
