Pros

Large company. Tons of upward mobility and potential to live almost anywhere in the US. Friendly co-workers. Encouragement to continuously improve, advance, and educate yourself. Ryder places a premium on continuing education and training.

Cons

Can have long hours. Benefits are there but could be better.

Pros

Higher average wages for material handlers, than in the local area. Four day work week, 10 hours per day. Overtime is available.

Cons

Cold!!! Refrigerated facility, freezer and cooler. Once you have proven you can do a job , you are pretty much stuck in that job, IE case pick. Unless you stress to your supervisor or management you want to learn more jobs. Supervisors that do not have people skills.

Overworked. Understaffed.

Pros

Pays not to bad. It's a job

Cons

Insurance cost keep rising. But I think this goes for all companies. Small raises, if any at all. To much bs, and not enough customer focus. Lack of manpower to meet companies demands. To many upper management personnel.
