Pros

So I've only been an employee for a short while but I love it so much already. I know that this is where I will spend the rest of my career. They actually purchased the company that I worked for previously, so I'm doing the same job, only for a different company. Not only is our team incredibly supportive, but I've never seen a team environment where every member of the team is as invested in my success as I've experienced at this company. There's always someone willing to help in any way that they can. There's a lot of processes to learn in my position, but all of them are logical processes that make perfect sense, therefore, easy to remember. The whole work environment is perfect. Not only that, but we get to work remotely. This is not just a temporary thing. We are permanently remote workers. That benefit in itself is The best thing a company can do for their employees is allow those that don't need to be in an office to work from home. Everyone is treated with respect and in my lifetime. I've never seen a better group of people as those that work here. They employ the best people in the industry. The best people all the way around. I love my job so much that I think if I ever were to win the lottery, I would still come to work everyday here. I highly recommend this company. The benefits are nice. Also. I wish the medical was a little bit cheaper, but you can't have at all.

Cons

Expensive medical but that is not unique to just this company at this time.

Pros

Takes awhile to gain traction in terms of promotions as there is a lot to learn that goes into the business. Once you figure it out and if you have a solid team around you there is tons of opportunity to move up.

Cons

Your performance will be tied to the team. If you have one or two bad employees in the right positions it can be terribly difficult to overcome. Everyone has to pull their weight or it’s going to be tough sledding.

Thank you for your honest and thoughtful review. You're absolutely right—there’s a learning curve, but once you gain that traction, the opportunities to grow are real. We’re glad you see that potential. We also appreciate your point about the importance of a strong team. Success here really is a team effort, and we’re continually working to ensure every role is filled with people who contribute positively.

Pros

Ryder dedicated driving jobs are usually predictable compared to most trucking jobs. When I was regional I would have my routes at least one week out. When I was local, I would have my routes one week out and rarely did it ever change other than when receivers rescheduled.

Cons

Pay is not as much as it should be. Regional I was making $0.44 per mile with I think $20 per stop, local was $19 per hour.
