Pros

Stability and for the most part good people to work with.

Cons

Never get rasies and once you are in the max raise you get is 2%. I you work your way up from the ground up you really get screwed on your pay.

Pros

A very independent position for people who are self-motivated and don't need much supervision. The position has decent benefits and the people you work with are pleasant.

Cons

The pay is not where it should be for the amount of work that this position is burdened with. The constant contract re-negotiations that seem to be very one-sided make the pay structure very fragile and inconsistent.
