Pros

Flexible work schedule which allows working from home when necessary. Good benefits including health insurance, dental, etc.. The company is large enough that it gets large scale interesting projects.

Cons

Archaic vestment and promotion structure. Managers seem reluctant to promote staff professionals to avoid hiring new pro's. It also seems that the company follows an out dated model for advancement in general. For example, it appears that regardless of talent all employees are advanced up the totem pole at the same rate. Also, the company uses something they call "Half-time overtime" in which the employee is paid half of their hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 (which is very common).

Not a Good Place to Work

Pros

Medical benefits are reasonably priced with decent coverage.

Cons

If you take time off such as STD, they will make things difficult for you and find a way to fire you when you return to work. If you are not a higher level employee, you do not get bonuses, are underpaid and are made fully aware that you are considered expendable. There is constant back stabbing and nepotism. And, if you speak your mind or defend yourself you will be fired.

Pros

Your peers are highly qualified, want to do an excellent job, and are willing to jump in and help out when a problem arises. Opportunities to work on many challenging and interesting projects in a rapidly growing metropolitan area.

Cons

Pace of work in Nashville is pretty crazy, so there's a lot to juggle. This is not always a con, but something to be aware of. Project teams sometimes get stretched a little thin.
