Pros

As a student employee there is a lot of flexibility which is great when working around class schedules. Often able to work on assignments when finished with regular duties.

Cons

They under pay their faculty compared to other similar schools. They have proven they don't value their instructors industry experience by implementing a policy in favor of instructors with Master's degrees over 10+ year veterans in Sound, Animation, and Games.

Pros

These opinions are my own, and based on my experience, your's may differ. The pros of working here were limited. The overall concept of SAE is a great one, to empower students to learn audio technology and the business. But that is really about it (from my perspective.)

Cons

- Aggressive enrollment strategies. - Admissions and Marketing are way disjointed. Marketing wants to provide the best student enrollment experience, but admissions really believes in call, call, call and alienate potential students. - There are a few really smart people working there, but they are held back by the wrong people in the wrong positions. - HR is a joke, no concept of what it costs to relocate, or even how to manage conflicts.

Pros

The students here made this one of the most fulfilling jobs I've ever had.

Cons

Sexual harassment that resulted in me losing my job- and I was the one harassed. Also, gender discrimination taken to an impressive level. Hard work & a passion for teaching won't get you as far as being male will. In many cases, this was detrimental to the students.
