• Org structure is VERY top-down; staff often feels like they don't have a voice when it comes to decision-making, even on things where they should have a say (like company culture).
• Executive team lacks strategic vision and direction, and this impacts everything from future viability/scalability & growth to internal operations & infrastructure. It says something that after 11 years the org is still in the startup/growth stage, despite claiming to be an industry leader.
• Messaging from leadership is often hit-or-miss, with more misses than hits. Information delivery can be tone-deaf or illogical; decision communications are often not thought through, in terms of how staff will take the news.
• There is a clear lack of trust in the Executive Team on the part of the staff, and there was a general, gradual erosion of this trust during the time I worked here.
• There has been too little turnover in the leadership department. The lack of new perspectives and fresh ideas has harmed the organization and really stymied its growth, despite claiming to value innovation.
