Pros

If you need a job to fill the gaps until you find something else-but don't expect much.

Cons

The organization talks of high intregrity but doesn't practice wha it preaches. Lack of mobility and advancement. Cronism all over. SAIC hires marginal managers ie. salesmen and engineers who have not mangerial expertise. Human resources and recruitments that are out of the dark ages.

Pros

Flexible work schedules. Relaxed work environment. Stable government contracts. Good management. Good focus on employee happiness. SAIC is the place where you can get in and spend your whole career.

Cons

Pay is sometimes less competitive than government. In order to get a decent raise, I had to apply for a government job at a higher pay scale and threaten to leave. Co-workers are SAIC are generally smart but not the cream of the crop. If you are a high-achieving individual, you may not be adequately challenged by the job.
