Pros

Regular raises and bonuses, great work life balance

Cons

Hires questionable leadership who don't really know what they're doing and react by throwing subordinates on their team under the bus. Leadership would require subordinates to come to meetings with no notice, yell at them during meeting with no real specific information, and turn around and tell customer products had been developed that in fact were not. Same leadership publicly denounced team members in front of Government client. Leadership basically insecure and took it out on team members.

Pros

Used to be a good company, no real “pros” anymore.

Cons

Company has gone downhill fast. The management for the large prototype program finishing up production now in Charleston, SC has pushed out all the SMEs for their upcoming program for low-rate production. They do not value expertise, dedication, and how much people put or what was sacrificed and put on the line by the SMEs the company is pushing out. Employees have watched as Management is pushing or has pushed SMEs out the door after they were successful, and worked 70-110 hours a week for months on end. This is not an exaggeration. SAIC can do a payroll audit if they read this and care to verify. Only to replace those dedicated employees with fresh high school grads, low level entry people, and people with no experience on the platform they’re about to start work on. The Management of the current prototype program lies to multiple customers, program office personnel, even SAIC’s own senior company leadership. The Management of the large prototype program in competition with BAE are largely unethical, conniving, deceitful people starting at the top all the way to the production lead level. So disappointing. I’m ashamed to tell people where I work and don’t bring it up anymore. What was a career is now just a way to pay bills while many many people look for new jobs in the Charleston area. Thankfully large companies are starting to move into the Charleston area so employees now have options. SAIC Reston, Virginia personnel and all customers would be wise to pay more attention to the actions and lies.

Pros

The pay, vacation and time on the job from former contract holders were not questioned and transferred to new contract.

Cons

From upper management to local management S.A.I..C doesn't have a clue on how to fulfill contract obligations, procurement, morale or treat their employees with dignity and respect. They have their HR personnel do not have the general employees best interest in mind, this company lost its dignity with it left being a employee owned company and went public.
