Pros

The ability to work with smart people doing great things throughout the company. Upward mobility. Good locations, opportunity to work with critical customers.

Cons

Managing work-life balance. There are definite moments where its working many hours and there are stressful days. The many layers of management can get in the way when trying to make quick decisions.

Pros

Pay was above average for this area. I was given significant responsibility and minimal management interference in completing my projects. I got the opportunity to travel worldwide.

Cons

Although I was not, most of my engineering colleagues were micromanaged. Morale was low. Some employees were kept on and even promoted despite consistent incompetence. Engineering was pushed to standardize systems and reduce cost, but sales promised custom systems to each customer.
