      Pros

      SAIC is a company that is aware of the commodity of personnel experience. Maintaining that experience in the volatile defense contracting market can be a challenge, but SAIC ensures that their employees are protected from that volatility by leveraging their skillsets to fulfill the needs of customers in an evolving environment of requirements. SAIC provides many opportunities for advancement into positions of greater responsibility or lateral position transfer in the event of a contract dissolution while maintaining the integrity of individual work experience and institutional knowledge.

      Cons

      SAIC outsources benefits like health insurance and retirement accounts to third party providers. Individual plans are competitive but are disconnected from the parent company of employment.
