Pros

Friendly and diverse work mates, condensed work week for an early finish on Fridays. Sociable, year end parties and summer BBQs. On site gym, canteen, staff shop.

Cons

Overworked and underpaid. Under constant pressure due to extremely heavy workloads and over controlled processes. Salaries are below market average for the amount of responsibility and workload expected of you. Poor work from home policy of 1 day per week despite constant requests to review this policy. Overall benefits are outdated and no longer unique. Management regularly ask for feedback then disregard it.

For generations, SC Johnson has been a values-led, purpose-driven company, and family company at work for a better world. While recent years have proven especially difficult, we’ve remained steadfast in our commitment to creating a work environment in which all employees can thrive professionally and personally, even in challenging times. Our Total Rewards team consistently benchmarks our salary and benefits packages to ensure we’re aligned with markets and industry. Regarding our telecommuting policy, it is true that we strongly believe SCJ people are able to achieve their best when they can collaborate and work together in person. We recognize this may not be the preference of some and appreciate that may be the case. Please know that at SCJ, we encourage open communication between all levels of the organization and also offer ways for team members to share feedback through their managers, meeting forums, surveys and more.

Pros

SCJ has no pros. They instil hate in your heart.

Cons

Toxic culture Nepotism Blatant bullying and discrimination by the MD, and all his leadership team. He leads the way and others follow. You will get micromanaged, you will get overloaded with irrelevant "urgent" requests, you will do everyone else's job and then you will do poorly on your performance review because you didn't do your job to their satisfaction. They discriminate against everyone that is not in the inner circle, they don't follow hiring protocols and when this is brought to the attention of HR, the MD overrides the inquiry ensuring (lying) that the process has been followed. It's like a high school show in the USA. You will lose your sole. Stay away.
