      Great private company but beginning to take on a lot of the negative qualities of a public company

      Hi, thanks for writing. We appreciate the positive recommendation, but also were sorry to see that you think SCJ is changing too much. We do have to be like our competitors in some ways, in order to compete. But we also want to keep and protect the unique things that have always made SCJ different.

      Pros

      Some amazing and passionate set of people trying to add value. Flexible working hours and approachable management locally.

      Cons

      No career opportunities being based in Sydney with the move to low cost countries irrespective of caliber. Political and very slow to make decisions. Large turnover which has resulted in most of the knowledge walking out of the door.

      Pros

      World class benefits. Better than competitive compensation. Several other employee perks. Company operates with integrity and is a positive member of the communities where SCJ is located. Current transformational changes have provided some new opportunities for those employees who are interested and comfortable working in a different way.

      Cons

      Some out of date policies-telecommuting is nearly non-existent. Decision making can be very slow. There is too much work to do and many are feeling over-taxed.
