Good anesthesia group and some nice surgeons

Cons

Horrible leadership with. No orientation or education. High turnover. Left with only 2 pre/post nurses left in the department and the rest were agency and travel staff. Bad schedule for outpatient. Often working until 7:30-8:30PM and 12 hour shifts with no overtime unless over 40 hours per week. Pay is not comparable to other surgery centers in the area. Also not safe because of paper charting and no medication dispensing system

Expensive insurance premiums. There is a bit of “performance punishment” where the top performers get rewarded with more work, meaning they do double the work for the same pay as their peers.
