Pros

You will learn how to chase numbers. It can be a useful skill to learn. It can also be completely draining.

Cons

This place is filled with arrogant, incredibly nasty, and disrespectful people. Sadly, those people hold all the power. Here, your value is reduced to metrics and numbers. The pressure is suffocating and can destroy your peace of mind. Do not let a job consume you. Be warned!

We are sorry to hear about your experience. At the same time, the experience you described does not reflect the culture we work to foster at SCAN. Our employees are our greatest strength, and creating an environment where they feel valued, respected and supported remains the priority of our leadership. As SCAN continues to expand and bring our mission to more seniors nationally, we recognize that this often requires change. We are proud that, even during this period of growth, SCAN has earned a 91% Great Place to Work® rating. We also understand that every employee’s experience is unique, and we value feedback because it helps us listen, learn, and continue strengthening the employee experience. Thank you for your contributions during your time at SCAN. We wish you the very best moving forward.

Pros

It’s a not for profit organization that is trying to grow.

Cons

Never seen a company with such high turn over. I’m pretty sure the “growth” the organization achieved was through questionable practices. There are limited opportunities for career progression at SCAN.

We're sorry to hear about your experience but it does not accurately reflect the culture of our organization. Supporting employee development is important to us, and we recognize that career growth can look different depending on an individual's role, goals, and experiences. As SCAN continues to grow to serve more members nationally, we remain focused on expanding learning and development opportunities, encouraging internal mobility, and helping employees build skills that support both personal and professional success. We encourage you to contact peoplerelations@scanhealthplan.com with any questions you have. We also encourage you to take advantage of the many open door policy opportunities we provide.

Pros

• I learned to have empathy for our clients. • I acquired leadership skills too. • Proper balance of independence and support • on the job • Guidance from the higher-ups • Policies are updated regularly to be more in tune with employees’ needs. • 4-day workweek (I get Mondays and Tuesdays off.) • Fair salary and perks like hybrid setup, tuition reimbursement, and wellness benefits.

Cons

It’s stressful to handle grievances and appeals. You must have the stamina if you want this kind of job.
