Pros

Lots of folks with high titles making more than they should for doing little of anything

Cons

HR is terrible. Got a job offer through a "contractor" and was told hybrid remote (OK with that as out of NC) 1st day on job HR lady said "thought you were gonna be onsite) Mind you I had like 4 separate video interview and ALL of them said its remote or rarely on site. Their Mgt is ridiculous and they exploit AWS, vendor 'partnerships' and employee and ex employee data (EU and US) Velogica (and partners) violate HIPPA and other employee and Life Applicant data in many ways and call it cloud integrations or DataLake build. Many player (too big to fail) mentality and global exploit of insurance industry and underwriting and employees.

Cons

I recently applied for a role with SCOR, a company I have long respected in the life insurance industry. I submitted my application on May 29, 2024, and was excited about the potential opportunity. However, my experience has been quite disappointing due to a complete lack of communication from the company. To date, I have not received any updates or responses regarding the progress of my application, which has sat on their candidate portal at "Under Consideration" for almost 2 months. I understand that the hiring process can be lengthy, but the absence of any acknowledgment or follow-up for over two months is frustrating and unprofessional. This has left me questioning the company’s internal processes and overall candidate experience. As an experienced professional, I expected a more structured and respectful approach to the recruitment process. Unfortunately, this experience has created a very negative view of SCOR and its commitment to potential employees.
