Pros

Nice staff. Challenging work. Intelligent culture. The SEC has become a premier federal agency in recent years and attracted top talent with the most lucrative government salaries and benefits.

Cons

Team building and collaboration are stifled. Management keep secrets for odd and uneccessary reasons. The regional office do majority of the work but has the least reseource support and focus. The DC office makes all the decisions from the ivory tower and often is misaligned from how the work is executed.

Pros

You have the opportunity to work on complex issues like insider trading and market manipulation.

Cons

The internship is organized poorly. I am a law student, not a data entry clerk. A lot of busy work and downtime.

Pros

There are none to mention.

Cons

Lack of organization. When they purchased our office, it was over a month before we were offered health benefits, resulting in lapse of coverage. We totally lost our 401 K benefits. They only only want cheap labor. They have questionable work ethics. I do not recommend this employer.
