Pros

Unmatched work-life balance, comp is incredible if you are coming from BigLaw, meaningful work, great benefits, and incredible exit options.

Cons

Comp for entry-level attorneys is below average and it is very difficult to catch up to laterals with the same level of experience.

Pros

Good place to work, Career Oriented and lively people. So much to learn about financial regulation and the financial industry.

Cons

There really are no cons here at SEC, as everything seems perfect and I doubt anyone working here would have anything to complain about.

Pros

Work life balance is excellent. Rewarding to be able to protect investors and the integrity of the marketplace on a daily basis.

Cons

Overall talent of human capital is mixed between "lifers" who lost motivation long ago and the young and hungry looking to do great work. Technology is severely behind. Lack of concrete budgeting and limited funding from Congress is severely undermining the Commission's mission.
