      Pros

      Training is decent. Career path is quite flexible for field engineers. It takes time for promotion but there is a lot of options for you to choose from.

      Cons

      It's quite demanding. You are surrounded by workaholic people and you will eventually become one too. The standards, policies and guidelines are so high that it seems impossible for one to follow them all. As field engineer, there is little time for you to be with family and very hard to plan for your personal life.

      Pros

      I have been working for SLB for over 6 years and have had my own ups and downs during the hitch like anyone in any job would do. Some highlights of the firm- - Travelling to exotic locations (good and bad both) - Pay (ofcourse) - Stress management. Although many complain about it but as the title says its not for everyone. If approached correctly, field life teaches you many life lessons and to handle critical situations better - Extra effort company takes for you ofcourse if you deserve it right

      Cons

      - long field hitches. It is tough. - At times its like your life belongs to SLB (working during vacations, getting calls on holidays)
