      Diversity, structured environment with management system with opportunities and possibility for international work . As a leader within oilfield service organization also requires rapid but creative ideas to meet business opportunities

      Possibility of exhaustion and loss of relation as often observed ..many employees become so committed to the organisation for you to last within.

      Beware of some small work locations within Schlumberger

      Salary is competitive with others oilfield service companies

      Cons

      Small locations tend to pretend to follow all the Schlumberger QHSE policy, but due to limited personnel and small revenue there will be many exemptions to the rules such as: working alone at night, driving during prohibited hours, working with dangerous chemicals/substances without all the proper PPE or engineering controls due to budget. Location I worked at was small (less than 50 employees) and there was a lot of backstabbing and bad-mouthing by upper salary grade personnel.

      Pros

      A very diverse environment where knowledge sharing is valued and respected. It is good that the company is not afraid of trying something different from our competitors.

      Cons

      Very heavy administrative processes and procedure. The company is getting too much focused on supply chain and other support structures. Support is unfortunalety slowing down progress for no real added value, extra checks within product development or during job planning have been implemented but not supervised by competent personnel.
