      Pros

      Money and thats about it.

      Cons

      It wastes you. After a few years, you realize you cant go out of slb and find a normal job. Its a bit like joining the army. Very aloof and distant from the normal jobs that our friends take up. Living in remote places, working 24x7 is fun for a while and then the reality dawns on you that the only way you can get a job is by somehow managing a MBA which sucks up all the money out of ur pocket anyways (assuming u do get thru )

      Pros

      Schlumberger is a great place to work. You will have great resources at your fingertips. As a mechanical engineer, you will have mechanical designers so there will be no need to do CAD work. Also, if your work hard, you will be recognized.

      Cons

      Sometimes you have to do a lot of irrelevant training. Also, you may have to move around globally to rise up the ranks if you are a engineer. The best way to rise to the top is to go to the field and do well.

      Pros

      From day one you are being integrated as a true employee. Schlumberger is very keen on giving and potential growth are massive and available worldwide.

      Cons

      Schlumberger is so not shown any drawbacks. Personal is very focused on what they are doing but balanced offering a social side.
