Pros

Truly international company, you work with nice people all around the world and you will work with great people with top education. We can do it attitude. Your colleague are more your friends not just coworkers. Company invests to the people grow, trainings, etc and counts its people as a main value. When something goes wrong company will help you, very good package for sick leave, additional holidays, and benefits. Career opportunities are broad; you can change a job inside the company or be relocated to another part of world.

Cons

When hired on junior position you will stuck in development program for 3 years which blocks you from fast growing. Until you get mobile status the salary is not the best one. Work will become a strong part of your time, it is not a 9-5 type of job (this could be a problem for somebody, in my case I like this way)

Pros

Best thing to do is to work as an international mobile (good salary and benefits). Training is the best there is on the oilfield. Other companys actually head hunt SLB's people with better salaries after the 3 year training. So if you manage to complete your fixed step promotion until grade 11, you can rest assured that your career opportunities will widen. Its also a trully international company.

Cons

There's no balance between work and your personal for the first couple of years you start as a field engineer. But as I said, if you manage to complete the first couple of years, you'll be OK.
