Pros

Large company with very explicit fixed steps for career development. You will work your tail off and jump through many hoops to get there. Excellent benefits package and attractive compensation when services are in high demand. Potential for lots of responsibility early on - maybe too early - if business is good.

Cons

No fixed schedule in Drilling and Measurements. You're on call 24/7 except for approved vacation days, and maybe then too. Comedically blatant that employees are treated as numbered resources with no regard for work-life balance, amplified by the cyclical nature of the business. Poor communication and management of both people and resources. Middle management is good as an insulator from upper management, but even better as a blockade. Time constraints do not align with frequently-preached safety objectives. Standards and manuals are worded just loosely enough that they can somehow be interpreted to the advantage of the location, at the disadvantage of the employee. If you're not strongly motivated by money, you're gonna have a bad time.

Pros

Training and development. You can have a lot of training within a short time, all to develop you to start making money on the rig for the company. That's the company's primary objective

Cons

Their priority is superior profit and not keeping personnel when jobs falls. When people work and the company is making 200% profit for years, the company is happy. Then why sacking folks just 3 months of low activity. That is complete slavery and madness. This show they no regards for people other than profit.

Pros

big company, so lots of positions to grow into. They offer good training.

Cons

Very frat like mentality and political. If you play those games you will fit in well and move up. Unnecessary complex in doing everything and incapable of simple design/decision process. Typically slow to react to market realities and then cook of grand complex ambitions at peak of markets and first to adjust on the downside.
