      Pros

      STG and Global Defense entered into a business combination last year. There has been a lot of turnover in the management team with a few chief level people still holding on ... but not for long.

      Cons

      The company is not winning new business and is struggling to keep its current contracts.

      Pros

      So far I had only one assignment for year 2016 but the response and communication is great. It may take awhile for cases to be assigned from EOIR to this company before I am contacted but I have to be patient.

      Cons

      None as far as I know. I noticed though that when I was contacted last year to consider working as a contracting interpreter it took a long time for all the papers to be approved due to a miscommunication between Lionbridge and SOSi. But things were resolved finally.

      Pros

      Plenty of chances to come in and make a difference. Their rapid growth in a time of decreasing defense budgets mean that they're evolving from a small business to a large business. Although there are some issues with a company that grows so fast, the people who want to come in, work hard, and make a difference, can take advantage of an opportunity to grow their career faster than they might at a large business.

      Cons

      Change is tough for some folks. If you don't like change and hard work, this is not the place for you. The large contracts that they have won recently have put some strain on their infrastructure. It does take time to catch up; but, again, this means opportunity.
