      A Shared Service Centre to avoid

      Pros

      Hard to put positive spin on this. I guess due to Coronavirus we deal less with management.

      Cons

      Lack of ownership. Senior leadership team don't understand or value staff. Very much a clique environment. HR slow at decision making and don't support staff.

      Pros

      As an engineer, starting in APV later bought over by SPX, this was a great company to work for. Plenty of opportunities to develop technical knowledge and execute diverse projects. Also opportunities to move into Project Management and Operations.

      Cons

      Margin pressures led Senior Management to put in place a huge amount of approval steps and ended up micromanaging everything. Even as a Site Lead/General Manager there was little autonomy.
