Pros

The company just downsized with the spinoff of SPX Flow. There is work. And the work is plentiful. You could work here many years and retire. If that's what you want.

Cons

If you work at the core of production, assembly or warehouse fabrication, life is just okay. Management will work you to death with little to no work life balance and very low pay as compared to other transformer manufacturers in America. The healthcare, 401K and bonus share programs are subpar. Production employees currently receive 0% bonus. Waukesha, WI and Goldsboro, NC are not keeping their employees stocked with up to date working equipment. The turnover even on the supervisory level has been high over the past year, mainly because of retirees . Some new hires recognize what they are getting into and find employment elsewhere. The funny thing is that management walks them right out the door even after they turn in their two weeks notice. Work life balance is non existent if you are blue collar. If your a manager in a supervisory role you're guaranteed to have at least two weekends off per month.

Pros

Its the highest paying manufacturer in Wayne County North Carolina. They have many locations throughout the nation including Waukesha WI, Dallas, TX, Goldsboro, NC (2 locations), Carteret County NC. There is a Union. They just ratified the contract and the blue collars should be getting a 3% pay increase or 7.5% over the next 3 years. There have been no layoffs or cutbacks, but since their product is expensive (in the Transformer Industry) there can be slowdowns in production. If you are an engineer or management, you get a bonus, but no pension, just a 401K.

Cons

Its the good ole boy network at its best. There are very few opportunities for women and minorities to move into management. The current health insurance (AETNA) is the cheapest and worst on the planet. They literally pay for very little. If you are a warehouse or manufacturing associate, you get 0 to 4% bonus per quarter. Currently, its 0%. There is 0% work life balance. Sometimes you may work (production) 3 to 5 months without a weekend off!

Pros

Fast paced work environment. Variety of projects (although, in the end its Packaging design for tool kits for the automotive, ag,recreational markets).

Cons

The almighty buck is king even more important than customer satisfaction. Report only on gross revenue (to please share holders). Management must be "yes" people. Each year, no money available for training. Reviews poorly executed and form would continously be changed throughout every calendar year.
