Can have job security, only if you put in the time. They will work with you if you need time off. Decent pay could be better. Good benefits.

Cons

Worked alot of ot. No really good life/work balance. Sometimes 6 days a week 58 to 60 hours for most of the year. No real room to advance. And rasies were not great.
