Pros

Used to have a great team of people and had an awesome manager for support.

Cons

They do not provide support even when it is requested. The workload is not assigned to several individuals and they will continue to increase your workload without compensation. You may receive a raise in the beginning but then have to fight to receive even a minimum increase in living wage after that. There is no work life balance unless you make it for yourself. They rely on an unreliable database that has continued to become more unreliable as the years go on. The database "improvement" only causes more issues with which the employee is expected to encounter and help fix with the IT team. Tip: If you do work here, be sure to leave after a year or two if you can make it that long in this stressful place.

Terrible pay and high turnover

Pros

The work-life balance is adequate most times. Full health insurance benefits (i.e., medical, dental, and vision) are paid in full by SQA for their employees and corresponding dependents.

Cons

Instead of paying their employees adequately and what they’re worth, upper management continues paying them pittance wages, leading to continuous turnover. Promotions occur, but with very meager raises. In fact, there’s a chance you can get a title change bump but with no pay raise. During annual performance reviews, you will have to fight for whatever raise you can muster. They host pizza parties or taco parties for their employees, putting on a façade of how great the company is doing and the supposedly supportive culture that pervades the workplace, but it’s very easy to see the stark difference with the type of work environment and morale SQA is trying to convey vs what what the actual company culture is like. If you must work here, then I agree with another previous reviewer who said to stay for the experience you need and then leave once you have it. Otherwise, I highly recommend you look for employment elsewhere.
