Pros

You will learn a lot of valuable skills to be able to succeed in the QA industry. Nice introduction to working in teams and learning technical jargon in a professional environment.

Cons

The job description is off-putting. You work in a training center for an unclear amount of time before being sent across town to work on an On-Site location. The management needs a lot of improvement. What you do and where you go is changed frequently and some team members need to work harder to compensate for others. Team leads and managers ignore or hand-wave on serious issues and smooth talk it over. Nepotism is rampant among the higher-ups in the company leading to unclear advancement as well as favoritism.

Pros

While negative reviews certainly have their place in community review sites such as Glassdoor, I think it's fair to say that unless there is a large volume of employees, the majority of the reviews for a small company like SQAsquared will end up being of the negative variety. Most people do not bother posting to these sites unless they have something to complain about. I intend to buck this trend. For me personally, I have learned countless different technical skills as well as interpersonal skills that have resonated very strongly with me today. I can honestly say that this would not be the case without the mentorship of the CEO and the exposure to different companies and projects. I think a lot of people that come and go in the company fail to see the bigger picture or feel like they have been slighted in some way. In the end, learning and growing with a company far outweighs anything else. Things will never be rosy with a company; there will always be things to complain about in life. How you choose to handle yourself in the face of inevitable challenges will really define you, and define how much money you make. I have certainly have had my fair share of ups and downs in this company, but I have grown stronger because of them.

Cons

Some core benefits are not up to par with many other companies - no dental and vision insurance, no 401k. To be fair, this is made up with other benefits - 3 weeks PTO after 3 years, 4 weeks after 5 years; Employee Savings Plan - matching money to buy a house. No advancement clear path, especially if you are a junior or mid-level member.
