Great people to work with, terrible compensation and employee treatment

Pros

People are great to work with (generally). Most of the people working there are younger fresh graduates.

Cons

Terrible pay and you feel very replaceable. I got laid off along with a ton of others during a zoom call. The company then hired a ton of new people a few months after laying us off. George takes too long to perform reviews which delays a pay raise.

The CEO

Pros

Good place to get started at

Cons

The CEO causes a lot of the turnover here. He thinks that he’s a strong manager. Kudos to him for the company that he built. However, he shouldn’t think of himself as highly as he doesn’t. He’s a micromanager who’s not a leader but rather is a dictator.

Pros

- If you know nothing about QA, then you will train you up fast! - Good work-life balance - Good work experience - Projects are interesting - Get to move to different clients and work on different applications so work is not mundane - Coworkers were all friendly - Tons of snacks available

Cons

- You are mico-managed to the point where I was confused if I was, or was not, allowed to take a phone call while on the clock; which in not normal for a company. - Company structure is a mess. The only person you know who for sure is your boss is the CEO. - No benefits till you "graduate" from the trainee role/ - Pay is low, even for people who have CS degrees - I heard even if you do "graduate" from the trainee role, you are not paid what is normal for your title as an Analyst. I made double when I left, and I did not even graduate from SQAAS Level I - You will get no SCRUM experience as a Trainee, since there are no in-person standups or tickets to track - Company does not trust you to make your own calls, so if you log an "observation" with the software then you can get called out for not doing your job right
