Pros

- Good place to start and learn about QA. - You'll improve and get promoted if you work hard. If you're lazy and don't try, don't expect to be handed anything.

Cons

- Pay is not as competitive as other companies. - Opportunities can seem a bit lacking.

Pros

I will be the first to admit that when I see a problem, I bring it up. That being the case, I am also able to spend the time to recognize when an organization listens to their employees. That was the case here. There were some concerns about benefits that were raised with management, and they listened; they really listened. They took the time to explain why the benefits were setup as they were, and after some discussion, they recognized that it was appropriate to make some changes, and they did - simply, they did. The environment is very learning focused. Lots of opportunity to learn and grow.

Cons

Because the environment is very learning focused, it can feel like you are being micro-managed. They have this process that they refer to as "QC" which every new team member has to go through where everything is reviewed before it goes out - this takes some getting used to.

Pros

Company culture encourages continuous self improvement with employees with weekly learning goals, resources, training sessions etc.

Cons

Outside of the training center, employees can feel disconnected since we are spread out on site with the company's various business partners. Depending on the business partner you are working at, you can be stuck in a hard place with limited growth or on a well supported team.
