      Pros

      SRP offers a great deal of diversity across many disciplines--skilled trades, business analysts, engineering, environmental, technology, etc. With some initiative, good work ethic and a little patience, numerous growth opportunities are available.

      Cons

      In some areas, the pace can be a bit slower compared to the for-profit world. Many groups do their annual project planning in a bubble which can create resource and timing conflicts.

      Pros

      Excellent training, great team support no matter where you are working, continously growing, always needed in the community, and a great HR department

      Cons

      Not really a con coming here. If you get hired on, it's difficult to get fired. Just do your work and you'll be a member of SRP for as long as you want.

      Good People, Old School Culture

      Pros

      SRP does great things for the community and has many caring and dedicated people. They are serious about customer service and customer response and employee safety.

      Cons

      Old school top down culture. Women are not really treated equal and are not represented well at all levels of the organization. Still measuring productivity by chair time instead of work finished or quality of work. Flexibility or work from home days are not yet part of the culture in many places where it could be.
