Insane work environment (not sure if it's just BA that have slow moving)

Contribution HSA and overall decent health/and dental Job stability Hands on technical work Experience to learn about the public utilities sector Friendly workers/peers

Cons

Terrible work/life balance No work from home opportunity ("a butt a the desk = i know you're working") Highly micromanaged environment Sometime work culture is too agreeable Lack of growth minimalized empowerment(many analyst title holders but architects, a CIO, are greatly needed) Old style top down culture of management I've seen employees literally drop dead from working insane on call hours and meet project deadlines that they were had no input in defining Reactive environment Nightly on call no one interested in fixing the underlying problem Aggressive project timelines on top of being on call

Decent benefits, access to plenty of resources to help with life issues, reasonable pay

Cons

constant stream of corporate propaganda, very little accountability, obvious favorites, poor communication from management
