Pros

Get to teach what you're excited about Can use this as an opportunity for self-growth

Cons

Takes a LOT of energy & loud voice to manage large groups, especially if you do not have a supporting colleague, or if they are not proactive. Some kids in this program are not good listeners/ don't want to be there. Takes energy to prepare special lessons & materials. For better or worse, you only get to teach your own curriculum 2 days a week, max Practicing the play/musical, which happened 2x/year, was an ordeal--stressful managing kids and getting them to follow instructions/ stay quiet
